It’s that time of year where I have upgraded my phone. This time around I have purchased the HUAWEI Mate 10 Pro, it went head to head with the Samsung Galaxy S9. I was really disappointed with the Galaxy S9s really narrow exterior as opposed to the S7 Edge. After spending time looking at the different phones I thought I’d splash out on the HUAWEI Mate 10 Pro.
The main commercial on TV shows the S9+ as a large phone similar to the S7 Edge but the Galaxy S9 is so narrow. It’s fine I suppose if you have small hands. Being a man with big hands I need a phone built for me.
The Mate 10 Pro comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, the Galaxy S9 only has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The Huawei Mate 10 Pro has a dual camera setup in the back, with a 12MP RGB main sensor and a 20MP monochrome secondary sensor which I have to say is very nice. The zoom feature is really clear. The Galaxy S9 has a single 12MP camera in the back has a mechanical iris which can switch between two apertures.
The Mate 10 Pro came with a fit bit…known as the Band 2 Pro. It’s an interesting wearable, measures your heart rate, counts the steps you take, sends notifications from your phone to the wearable by the way of messages and vibrations which is interesting.
